Choir rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 6-7:15 in the choir room located in the basement of the church.
Choir members describe rehearsals as a healthy mixture of focused work and raucous laughter; this is a group that likes to have fun. Many are blessed by the fellowship that continues to grow from this group and the wonderful mixing of representative ages in the church. They always welcome more “characters” to the melting pot!
The First Christian Church Chancel Choir has a long history – as long as the church’s history. It contains members that have been singing in it for over forty years, and a great deal of others that have sung in it for less than two years. We have almost outgrown the choir loft, and number almost 40 when all are present. We hope this is a problem that will continue…there will always be room for new members!
A unique part of the Chancel choir is a small number of Music Interns who are mostly music majors at WKU. They sing solos, lead worship and, on occasion, direct the choir. They are a wonderful addition to the life of the church and the fabric of the choir.
